Privacy Policy — SSoundWorks

SSoundWorks ("Sadrach SoundWorks", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Account data: name, username, email, phone number, date of birth, country, password (encrypted), profile photo, biography.
Content: tracks, covers, posts, messages, comments, gifts you send or receive.
Payment data: processed by our payment partners. When SSoundWorks is distributed through a third-party app marketplace, payments made inside that marketplace are handled by the marketplace's own purchase system. We never store full card numbers.
Usage data: plays, likes, follows, device, IP address, browser, app version, crash logs.
Cookies & local storage: session, language, cache and preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide and maintain the service (authentication, playback, gifting, messaging).
Process payments and pay creators their earnings.
Verify identity (artist verification, age, anti-fraud).
Send transactional and security communications.
Improve product, prevent abuse and comply with the law.

3. Legal Basis

We process data based on your consent, the execution of our contract with you, our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention) and legal obligations.

4. Sharing

We share data only with: our hosting and database providers, our payment processors, our email/SMS providers, and authorities when legally required. We do not sell your personal data.

5. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we erase or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except information we must retain by law (e.g. tax / payment records).

7. Your Rights

Access, rectify or delete your data.
Withdraw consent or object to processing.
Export your data (portability).
File a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account, or by emailing privacy@ssoundworks.com.

8. Minors — Strict 13+ Policy

SSoundWorks is a strict 13+ platform. The minimum age to create or use an account is 13 years old, in line with COPPA (US), the UK Age-Appropriate Design Code, the EU GDPR-K framework, and applicable international standards for social platforms.

Under 13: Children under 13 are not allowed to create or use an account on SSoundWorks under any circumstances. Parental consent does not override this rule. If we identify an account belonging to a child under 13, we will deactivate and delete it.
Ages 13–17: Teens may use SSoundWorks as listeners and uploaders. Their accounts default to private/protected settings (DMs restricted, recommendations limited, content discoverability reduced), consistent with industry-standard protections for minors on social platforms.
Monetization (18+): Creator Program, gifts withdrawal, payouts and tax forms are restricted to users 18 or older (or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction). For users between 13 and 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete monetization setup, identity verification and tax documentation on their behalf.
Data minimization: For accounts known to belong to a minor (13–17), we collect only the data strictly necessary to operate the service, do not run behavioral advertising, and do not sell or share personal data with third parties for advertising.
Parental controls: Parents and legal guardians can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their teen's data at any time by writing to privacy@ssoundworks.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Community help: No platform is 100% foolproof. We rely on creators, listeners, parents and the wider community to help us identify accounts that may belong to a child under 13. If you suspect an underage account, please report it immediately via the in-app Report button or email trust@ssoundworks.com and copy privacy@ssoundworks.com. Reports are confidential.

If you believe a child under 13 has registered, contact trust@ssoundworks.com and we will remove the account.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, row-level access controls and regular audits. No system is 100% secure; report incidents to security@ssoundworks.com.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will notify significant changes via the app or email.
